The Fail Wall
Most review sites have a graveyard problem: gear fails after the review is published, and the review never finds out. The Fail Wall is the fix. Every entry records the brand, the model, months to failure, the failure mode, and what happened when the warranty claim was filed.
Entries come from two places: our own long-term test units, which stay in service after their reviews ship, and reader build reports, once submissions open. Every entry links back to the review it changed.
That's not because nothing fails. It's because we haven't been running long enough to have earned failures, and we won't fake a database to look established. The first entries will come from the fridge and heater long-term units now entering service.
Had a piece of van gear die early? When build submissions open you'll be able to file it here, warranty outcome and all. Until then, the Test Notes email will announce it.
